Hello. My Name is Jay.

With over 20 years of Engineering and Management experience, I have been an advocate and practicioner of process improvement for most of my career

As an Engineer, “process” is a big part of the job.  Having spent most of my career in safety critical fields, such as medical or aerospace, process quickly became more than jus ta part of the job.  It’s a necessity.  I have had the fortunate experience to work with some individuals over years that were very adept and one or more areas under what we call process.  Having spent time directly owning organizational processes, process improvements definition, I have been able to take my learnings from those experts.  I welome you to join me on this journey to explore what processes are, how they can benefit you and your organization, and how to do it the “right way”….for your needs.

My Life before process

Trained as an Electical Engineer, I focused in Computers, but this was in the early days, and it turns out, the only jobs specifically in the field were at companies like Intel, and AMD. I quickly discovered and pivoted to firwmare, and embedded systems, and software. So, I wrote code, worked with hardware engineerings to control things, and was a typical "IT type". It wasn't long until I landed in the field of Medical Devices, Then Aerospace / Defense. In these fields, process became a part of life, whether I liked it or not.  I embraced it.  I have since had stints in non-safety critical fields, and have found process, or the lack there of, is still probalby the single most factor in repeatble success.
